WEBSITE UPDATE

The www.febtv.com website has been changed:
Here is a link to the video stream:

http://www.febtv.com/

Apparently the link will take you to an intermediate screen where you need to click on the left icon labelled: "Liga Adecco Febtv.com"
find the game button on the right side labelled: "Club Melilla Baloncesto" and click on "Ver Partido" (which means "to view party[game]" in Spanish; (you may have to page ahead to find it)
if you click on the "Jornado Virtual" button a second window will open with little blue scoreboards; again find the Melilla scoreboard and click on the "En Vivo" button and a live box score with narrative should appear. Both can be opened at the same time, side by side on your computer screen.
Or you can still go to:

@ Tenerife

Taylor's next game is tomorrow, Friday, 03/26/2010, at 5:00 pm at Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Because the Canary Islands are one hour closer to the US (off the west coast of Africa) and Spain's Daylight Savings Time does not start until next week, there is only a 4 hour time difference to EDT.

A Proud Moment

Taylor writes, "Congratulations to the Men's and Women's Basketball teams at UVM for making the NCAA tournament. An extra congratulations for the women winning the first round game. I watched all of the games and was glad to have played at UVM. It was also an exciting year for the Men's Hockey team!

GO CATS!"

vs. La Laguna

Taylor's next game is today, Friday, 03/19/2010, at 4:00 pm at home vs La Laguna, the third place team. Spain's Daylight Savings Time does not start for two weeks, so there is a 5 hour time difference until then.
Due to weather problems and delayed and cancelled flights the team was on planes or in airports for over 14 hours and at game time had no uniforms because the team equipment was lost. So Melilla wore La Palma uniforms; One team wore red La Palma uniforms and the other wore light blue La Palma uniforms.
With the loss at La Palma last week Melilla has dropped to second place, which means they have win every remaining game to have a chance at ending the season on April 23 in first place.

GAME UPDATE!

From Taylor's father, George:

For those of you who had planned to watch the game today, please note that the video steam has not been put up on the list as of the time of this email; and the game may not be available for viewing.
There is the live box score with play by play narrative at the same website; simply click on the large middle button on the top right part of the screen entitled, "balencesto en vivo." Then page through the screens (arrow at bottom right) until you find the scoreboard for the "UV La Palma vs CB Melilla" game and click on the En Vivo button.
UPDATE:
The Melilla team left melilla yesterday morning around 9:30; and got stuck in madrid due to flight problems to tenerife; where they have to go; then take a shuttle flight to la palma; so they eventually fly to tenerife; but could not land; tried twice at the larger northern airport; and then went to the southern airport; from where the team had to take a bus back up to the northern airport for a flight to la palma; they didnt get to la palma until 11pm or so last night; missed that evening's scheduled shoot around practice... until later this morning... also their equipment is lost; so they will be playing today wearing la palma's red uniforms ... although no one will know because the game is not on the video stream list !! ;-)

Good luck Taylor !!

@ La Palma

Taylor's next game is tomorrow, Friday, 03/12/2010, at 4:00 pm at La Palma in the Canary Islands. Note change in time. Game time is still 9pm in the Canary Islands but the islands are in a time zone closer to the U.S., therefore a 5 hour differential to EST.
The game was not listed on the video stream schedule as of the time of this email; hopefully it will be posted as a link by tomorrow afternoon!
